Sapphire NMR Tube
Description
Sapphire (Al2O3 single crystal) has extraordinary hardness and high melting temperature around 2000°C. Due to its single crystal structure, it has outstanding chemical resistance to corrosive solvents, including HF acid. These unique properties plus the zero background in most NMR experiments make it popular in the following applications:
• High Pressure NMR over 500 bar
• 19F studies, especially studies with HF acid involved
• 29Si studies
LongSpectrum sapphire tubes have guaranteed straightness for optimized shimming quality and are tested in spinner turbines for OD fitting.
LongSpectrum recommends using epoxy glue if connecting to a metal gas line.
